Q: Who is a stock broker?

A: A stock broker is a member of the Exchange who is authorized to deal in scrips of listed companies on behalf of their clients/investors.

Stock brokers can be individual members or body corporate. They use latest information technology to provide fast and efficient services to their clients.

 

Q:   How does an investor invest in the stock market?

A:  Access to the stock market is now easier than ever before. To buy and sell shares of a particular company, an investor usually contact his stock broker. A broker buys and sells securities on behalf of the investor and charges commission for the services rendered The stock broker’s job is to assist clients in meeting their investment objectives by handling orders for stocks, maintaining account records and providing information and advisory service.
