Mr. Muhammad Rashid Zahir has been re-elected as the chairman of ISE Board. He was the chairman of ISE Board for the year 2011. He has extensive executive/board level experience in development, investment and commercial banking. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Pak Industrial & Agricultural Investment Company Limited from January 1991 to January 2011 and during this stint, Saudi Pak acquired a commercial bank and a leasing company and set up an insurance company and a real estate development company. He has served on the Boards of several listed companies in a fiduciary capacity. He graduated from Government College, Lahore and obtained MBA degree from Institute of Business Administration, Karachi. Mr. Rashid Zahir has also been a director on the Board of ISE during 2001-2004, 2006 2010 and 2011.

Mian Ayyaz Afzal is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Islamabad Stock Exchange (ISE). He has done his Master in Economics from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He has vast experience of capital market as well as real estate market. He has served Central Depository Company as its Head Islamabad Branch during 1996 to 2005. He has served JS Abamco as Vice President and worked as Chief Capital Market Operations in a brokerage house. He has been providing consultancy services for new real estate development projects.

Mr. Zahid Latif Khan is the elected director on the Board. He is the Chief Executive of M/s. Zahid Latif Khan Securities (Pvt.) Limited, Corporate Member of ISE. He has extensive experience of over twenty years of securities and commodities trading. He has been director on the ISE Board during 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2008. He is a senior member of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) and remained a member of Executive Committee. He was an active participant of System Review Design Committee of National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited. He served as a Director of Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited and made significant contributions on their policies and operational affairs. As a Director of ISE Mr. Zahid represented the Institute at both national and international forums including US Securities and Exchange Commission’s International Institute of Securities Market and OIC’s Stock Markets. He visited the Securities Market Institutes of Asian Development Bank & United Nations Capital Market Institutes. He bears extensive experience of regulatory and Tax regime in Pakistan.

Mr. Farrukh Younas Khan is the elected director on the Board. He is the Chief Executive of M/s. Y.S. Stocks (Pvt.) Limited, Corporate Member of the ISE. He is the third generation of the stock broker and belongs to the family who are amongst the pioneers in the Lahore Stock Exchange. He was the Director of M/s Y.S Securities & Services (Pvt.) Limited, Corporate Member of Lahore Stock Exchange from 1999 to 2007. He has extensive experience of over 20 years of capital market. He has been director on the ISE Board during 2009 and 2010 and remained member of various standing committees of the exchange. He remained quite instrumental in framing various policies guiding the exchange on its development path. He is Graduate with extensive experience of corporate as well as securities laws. He has got certification from Institute of Capital Markets (ICM). He is a corporate member of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He attended various capacity building programs organized by Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) & Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Mr. R.A. Chughtai is the Nominee Director of Islamabad Stock Exchange. He is a banker by profession having 40 years extensive experience of banking. He has served the State Bank of Pakistan as Deputy Governor. He has been President and Chief Executive of Zari Traqiati Bank Limited. Besides having served as director on the Board of Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, he has also been Chairman of the Islamabad Stock Exchange in 2006 and 2010. Mr. R.A. Chughtai has also served as President and CEO of SME Bank Limited. He has also been a Director on the Board of ISE during 2011.

Mr. Hussain Ahmed Ozgen is the SECP Nominated Director of Islamabad Stock Exchange. He is the Chief Executive of M/s Rahat Woollen Mills (Pvt.) Limited. He is a prominent business figure in Islamabad & Rawalpindi and has the honor of being the president of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry during 2003 -2004. His efforts to improve the relations between the government and the business community are acknowledged by both ends which speaks his acumen. He has a vast experience in handling the affairs of such offices and his advises for the amelioration in the field of economics is always embraced by the government. He remained the chairman of various Standing Committees of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and he has been a Nominee Director on the Board of Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited. During his tenure as a Director of Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, the exchange became one of the top Commodity Exchange in the region which itself speaks of his intellectual capacity. He was also a nominee Director of M/s SME Leasing Limited and Technical Education and Vocational Trading Authority (TEFTA). He represented the Chamber of Commerce and Industry on various international forums.
