Mr. Muhammad Rashid Zahir is the nominee director and Chairman of the ISE Board. He has extensive experience of banking and finance. Presently he is the Chief Executive of Saudi Pak Industrial and Agricultural Investment Company. He is also Chairman of the Boards of Saudi Pak Leasing, Saudi Pak Insurance and Saudi Pak Real Estate. In addition, he is also representing on the board of certain other companies. An MBA from Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, he carries forty two years experience in the field of development and investment banking. Mr. Rashid Zahir has also been director on the Board of the ISE from 2001 to 2004 and 2009-2010.

Mr. Imtiaz Haider has recently joined the ISE as its Managing Director/Chief Executive. He has more than 20 years experience in finance, business management, corporate governance, academia and marketing. Before joining ISE, Mr. Haider was group head- corporate finance, compliance and business development in a leading business group. Besides, business development in local and international market and overseeing and managing compliance issues in the Group, Mr. Haider’s last assignment in the said Group was as CEO of AKD REIT Management Company. Mr. Haider has also served as Executive Director in the Securities Market Division at the SECP where he was responsible for operations of securities markets, monitoring and supervision of trading activities including licensing and coordination and regulations of the secondary markets. Mr. Haider has also served as head of corporate governance as well as zonal manager at National Investment Trust Limited. He is a business graduate and having law degree as well.

Ms. Ayla Majid is an elected director on the Board of Directors. She is the Chief Executive and Nominee Director of CAMCO (Pvt.) Limited, Corporate Member of the Exchange. She is also Director Business Advisory at Khalid Majid Rehman, Chartered Accountants. She is also Vice Chairperson of ACCA Members Network Panel Pakistan. Ms. Ayla Majid has extensive experience in financial management, corporate governance, strategic business planning and capital markets. She is a regular speaker in seminars and media on capital markets, corporate governance and economic issues. Ms. Ayla Majid holds MBA degree from LUMS and LLB Honors from University of London, UK.

Mr. Fateh Khan Malik is elected director on the Board. He is nominee director of FALKI Capital (Pvt.) Limited, Corporate Member of the Exchange. He has been head of marketing in Fauji Cement. Retired as brigadier from Pak Army, Mr. Malik holds master degree in war sciences from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad.

Mr. Haroon Ihsan Piracha is elected director on the Board of the Exchange. He is the Chief Executive and nominee director of HP Securities (Pvt.) Limited, Corporate Member of the Exchange. He has also directorship in Saudi Pak Leasing Company and Pangraphics (Pvt.) Limited. Mr. Haroon holds MBA degree from George Washington University, USA.

Mr. Iftikhar Ahmad is the elected director on the Board. He is the Chief Executive and nominee director of Blackstone Equities (Pvt.) Limited, Corporate Member of the Exchange. He has also been director of the Exchange in 2004 and 2006. Mr. Iftikhar Ahmad has also directorship in Capital Insurance Company Limited. Doctor by profession, he holds MBBS degree from the University of Punjab.

Mr. M. Naeem Siddiqi is the elected director on the Board of the Exchange. He is the Chief Executive and nominee director of Invest Forum (SMC-Pvt.) Limited, Corporate Member of the Exchange. He also heads two IT firms namely Computer Super Market and E-Box Systems and also holds directorship in Barani Institute of Information Technology (BIIT).

Mr. R.A. Chughtai is the nominee director of the Islamabad Stock Exchange. He is a banker by profession having 38 years extensive experience of banking. He has served the State Bank of Pakistan as Deputy Governor. He has been President and Chief Executive of Zari Traqiati Bank Limited. Besides having directorship in the National Commodity Exchange Limited, he has also been Chairman of the Islamabad Stock Exchange in 2006 and 2009-10. Presently, Mr. Chughtai is the President and CEO of SME Bank Limited.

Shaharyar Ahmad has been a professional banker for over 32 years, with extensive international experience in Investment and Commercial Banking in Europe, The Middle East and Pakistan. He has held senior positions at Bank of Credit and Commerce International in UK and Spain, where he was the head of Merchant Banking Division and Chief Manager and executive in charge of Investment Banking respectively. He has headed Askari Bank and UBL also. He has also been director on the ISE Board from 2004 to 2007. In 2007 he also served as the chairman of the Board. He also served as Director of the Karachi Stock Exchange for the year 2002.

Syed Ahmad Hassan Shah is the nominee director on the Board. He is a lawyer by profession and is Founder and Managing Partner of Hassan Kaunain Nafees, Legal Practitioners & Advisors. He has extensive experience of corporate law. He holds LLM degree from King’s College London.
